When I was a child, I had the book, "A Lantern in Her Hand," read to me. I LOVED that book and since then have read many of Bess Streeter Aldrich's books. I was unaware that her home was so close to Lincoln until my sister told me about it, when I was recently in Nebraska. She and I visited the house/museum one afternoon. I'm so glad I got to see where this great author lived...again, another plus for heartland America!
